      “My name is Kerollos Mamdouh, I am a pharmacist and I am passionate about languages and helping patients.
       
      I came across the field of medical interpretation through Linkedin, and while searching more about the field, I found that there’s a course offered by interbridge academy.
       
      I decided to contact interbridge academy team. The team is highly professional and friendly. I contacted Dr. Marwa Abou El-Fotouh, she answered all my questions in a highly professional way, so I decided to join the course.
       
      The first part of the course, offered by Dr. Marwa, focused on the know-how of becoming a successful medical interpreter and medical terminology.
       
      The second part, offered by Dr. Mohammed Salah focused on legal interpretation, which is a whole world of situations and terms that Dr. Mohammed was able to make it easily understandable and approachable.
       
      The third part, offered by Dr. Rana Ahmed, focused on UK calls and their different categories.
       
      Last but not least, Dr. Ahmed Awara and his lectures on how to get the most out of Linkedin.
       
      There was also a weekly chance for practicing interpretation with instructors and I have to say that all the instructors are highly professional and friendly.
       
      I really enjoyed this course and I recommend it for anyone who is considering a career in medical interpretation.
       
      Thank God, and thanks to the amazing instructors, I joined Multilingual interpreters and translators as an Arabic medical interpreter.

      “My name is Marina Nageh and I currently work as a medical Interpreter with Contacklink Solutions. I decided to opt for the mathematics branch/ track in high school, and that is because of my love and passion for physics and mathematics, but I was not lucky (or possibly, because of the colleges admission minimum scores )  to continue in the same path (i.e: Mathematics).. So I chose to enter the College of Arts, Department of Oriental Languages, because I also loved studying languages!

      Call center work was not enough for me… I was looking for something else in which I could feel that I can actually help someone else and provide something that had a real impact, not just a work shift I wanted it to end.

      By chance, I saw an advertisement for the medical interpretation course

      The idea thrived  in my mind and I began to search more and compare the best places that offer this course..

      Finally, I reached InterBridge Linguist Academy, an accredited place and a number of wonderful Interpreters have graduated from it.

      I communicated with them and got enrolled with them, but unfortunately I could not attend timely with my training wave. Truth to be told, they were very kind and supportive, so I watched a part of the course that was recorded and continued to attend live sessions with the following training wave.

      Although I did not graduate from any college in the medical field, I was even a mathematics student in high school! However, Dr. Marwa was explaining the medical part in a simple and detailed way that made me love to go and look for more things on my own, because of how much knowledge I acquired and how my relentless urge to learn more.

      For the part of  non-medical Interpretation and other services in the US, it was presented by Dr. Mohamed in a wonderfully organized and detailed manner, and easy to study, despite how challenging it was.

      The last part was the section on Interpreting for services provided in the UK, which was presented by Dr. Rana Muhammad in a wonderful and comprehensive way, which gave us more experience and a great idea about what we might get after that in the field of work.

      I finished the great diploma, which was well prepared and had lots of efforts invested in, I studied well for the exam, but for first time I felt nervous that in turn made me unable to answer anything! This was a point of weakness that Dr. Marwa helped me with and directed me to the things I needed to work on in order to be better.

      Indeed, I started to train more and work on myself, and this was not difficult because InterBridge students and graduates have one group in which they share everything! Starting from studying material to the job opportunities that are constantly arising, and also those who need help with something or need to practice with someone, will always find people to help them here.

      I took the exam and passed with the utmost confidence, thank God.

      After that, I started applying at more than one company. The first company responded to me and I started taking tests, but the time was very long between each step and the next, so I felt  that I needed to apply at another company In case I had been rejected in the first one.

      Dr. Ahmed Awara’s lectures that InterBridge gave us at the end of the course helped me with this: how to create a strong profile on LinkedIn and how we can use it to search and find the job we are looking for.

      In addition to all the job opportunities that were being shared on our group, I also joined LinkedIn, communicated with more than one company, and began following up with one of them and doing the required tests, which I had been adequately trained to do in the course.

      • At the beginning, Dr. Marwa was very welcoming and encouraged me to think carefully before starting the course. She answered all my questions and concerns humbly and simply, without making any promises other than helping me become an interpreter and find a job.

      Two years ago, I had the fortune of meeting the trainer Marwa Aymen during a previous course.       So I took the CV and sold it to many companies, and I did a lot of interviews, and I got an offer, but most of them asked me to work a lot of hours, and this was not a suitable place for me…

      I started taking practical steps in learning medical translation. Praise be to God. In any case, I was infected with Corona and stopped studying for treatment, and the interruption period was long.

      Suddenly, I found an advertisement for Interbridge Academy. I searched and sent it to them. I asked them about the diploma, and the content of the course caught my attention. I was excited and encouraged and decided to participate in it.

      One time I found an advertisement on Facebook about a course for medical interpretation, and it was Interbridge Academy. I sent it and asked for all the details. I was very excited and signed up for the diploma: First, we studied the medical part with Dr. Marwa. What is she? She is a very patient person and very calm. She does not get angry, even though we are people who learn. We may sometimes provoke her with our slowness because it is a new field for us, but she is very professional and really very tolerant and able to do her job.

      Then we came to the second module for the non-medical part, and this was with Dr. Mohamed Salah. Seriously, this part was comprehensive and professionally familiar with everything you might encounter in non-medical calls, and a truly terrible effort was put into every sheet of the course material.

      Finally, Dr. Rana, whom I call the Queen of the UK, Dr. Rana specializes in UK calls, which is not a very delicious part, but she explained it very well in three lectures, and she is very calm and very precise. When you translate with her, you will find her telling you, “Can you say this word better than what you said,” and you will find yourself not only learning the skill of translation, but also New words expand your understanding more.

      To conclude, the beautiful thing about this course is that they gave us lectures as a gift from Dr. Ahmed Awara. He is a real doctor. He taught us how to market ourselves on LinkedIn, create profiles, and follow everyone’s profile individually.

      Seriously, I haven’t seen a course like this or any instructors like this, and we are still in contact with them, and they answer our questions and share with us every job opportunity you can meet.

      I have a passion for languages and have always wanted to improve my English. That’s when I thought about the field of medical translation, especially since it would be part of the medical field and deliver a message similar to medicine. I believe there’s nothing better than working in something you love and are passionate about. Unfortunately, I initially had difficulty gathering information about the field, but by chance, I learned about it from my neighbor, a doctor, who started the course with InterBridge and encouraged me to join. I contacted them, learned all the details about the course, and enrolled without hesitation. I believe this was one of the best coincidences that happened to me.

      The diploma consisted of three parts: medical, non-medical, and UK.

      The medical part was handled by Dr. Marwa Aboul Fotouh, starting with lectures that explained everything related to medical interpretation and the most common medical terms. Dr. Marwa’s explanations were very easy and smooth. After the lectures, we had training sessions where Dr. Marwa would actually train us on the job, and we also trained with each other on Zoom while she monitored and corrected us. Additionally, we formed a group outside the course to practice together.

      The non-medical part was managed by Dr. Mohamed Salah and was very comprehensive, filled with new terms. I loved this part because of the amount of new terminology, although it was somewhat difficult since most of us had not been exposed to these terms, such as those in the legal field, accidents, insurance, banking, and others.

      The final part was the UK part, handled by Dr. Rana Ahmed, who specializes in UK calls and has tremendous experience in this area. It consisted of three lectures. Despite the slight difficulty with the British accent, Dr. Rana made it easy for us to understand with her simple approach and vast experience.

      Finally, the gift of the course was the LinkedIn lectures by Dr. Ahmed Awara, who helped us create profiles and increase our chances of being noticed by companies, making profiles that attract companies.

      The most important and impressive thing about the course, in my opinion, is that it truly feels like being with friends, not just in a course with an instructor and students. It feels like we’re all friends, and indeed, almost all of us stay in touch. Even after the course, we communicate through a group, and if anyone needs anything from the instructors, they can directly contact them, and they are more than cooperative with us. This is something I haven’t seen in any other educational course before.

      Currently, thank God, I am working with Language Bridge Solutions, thanks to God first and the course and the outstanding instructors and their expertise.

      I came across the field of medical interpretation through an ad on Facebook and was very convinced by the idea. I thought I could study for a year and then start working—this was my highest ambition at the time. 

      I searched a lot and was torn about where to take the course. Of course, I found Interbridge Academy and other places. I asked them about the instructor and their previous experience and checked out the other places as well. What made me decide to take it with Interbridge was Dr. Marwa; her experience is excellent.       We finished the medical part and started with Dr. Mohamed Salah, who really had us translating all the time. He presented very difficult content in a simple and beautiful way. May God bless him.

      Of course, Dr. Rana was responsible for the UK interpretation part, summarizing it all in three very dense lectures with comprehensive material in a beautiful way.

      At the end of the course, there were lectures with the incredible and tireless El Facilitator Dr. Ahmed Awara about LinkedIn and how to create a step-by-step profile and a successful CV to qualify you to work as a freelance medical interpreter.

      As soon as we finished the course, they sent us a folder with the emails of interpretation companies. I sent emails to all these companies and followed up with them periodically. Indeed, I received several offers and interviews, including one from Future Company. However, they wanted a full-time job, which was not suitable for my household circumstances, so I had to decline because of the kids. I needed a freelance job as it was more suitable for my situation.

      Thankfully, after that, I worked as a freelancer at One World Global Services, and I am still working there to this day, moving towards a better step.

      The nice thing is that the course group is still active to this day, and they post many job opportunities on it. Anyone can ask about anything, and everyone responds and helps each other. It’s not just a course; we have become a big family. I am very grateful and thank all the doctors from my heart, wishing them always success and prosperity. Truly, everyone who works hard deserves their share.”
