In order to qualify for this training, you will need to be:

The diploma is divided into three main modules:
Module 1: Medical Interpretation Training

This module includes both recorded and live sessions with experienced trainers. The recorded sessions cover the fundamentals of medical interpretation, including:

Basics of medical interpretation.
Roles and responsibilities of a medical interpreter.
The code of ethics, ethical dilemma and the standard of practice.
Cultural traditions and healthcare beliefs.
Managing the call flow for OPI and VRI.
Medical terminology training across various body systems including (integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine, and reproductive systems),different diseases, symptomes , treatments, and procedures.
HIPAA compliance and awareness for medical Interpreters.
Note-taking techniques.
Interpreting in mental health settings.
Pediatric and geriatric interpreting settings.
Secondary \ Vicarious trauma and self awareness plan.
In the live practical sessions, participants engage in real-life role plays with our instructors , receiving hands-on training and guidance to refine their skills.
Module 2: Community Interpretation Training

This module addresses the non-medical aspects of interpretation, focusing on social services and community programs. Topics include:

DHS programs.
Car Insurance and car accident cases.
Taxation and finance settings.
the US medical insurance system.
Legal interpretation training.

DMV calls.
Module 3: UK Interpretation Training

This module prepares interpreters for interpreting in the UK, with a focus on:

Interpreting for refugees, including refugee interviews.
The UK medical health services.
housing and financial support programs.
Handling different call types from various UK institutions.
